ESSENTIAL THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN BUYING AN EDDYBOARDS SKATEBOARD

How old do I have to be to use an EddyBoards skateboard?

EddyBoards skateboards and eboards are high performance machines and should not be used or operated in any way by children under the age of 13 years old unless under adult supervision.

How do I control the board?

The board acceleration is controlled by a bluetooth remote.  To turn you use your body weight as you would a normal longboard skateboard.

How do I brake?

Braking is done through the remote by pulling back on the throttle.  See instruction manual.

How do the speed modes work?

Our remote has three speed modes: ECO, FAST POWER, MAX POWER.  This is done through your Bluetooth remote.  Please see instruction manual.

ECO MODE will offer around 25% of available power, with a limited top speed – perfect to learn on.

FAST MODE offers around 75% of available power, with more speed but limited to be ideal for cruising and achieving maximum range.

MAX POWER MODE offers 100% of available power and with a full range of speed.

WARNING: FAST AND MAX POWER MODE offer performance not suitable for beginners AND can allow the rider to get into situations that may increase risk in operation. Riders must understand the power this board can offer must be respected for safe use. We recommend full protective gear at all times when riding an EddyBoards skateboard.

Can I use other manufacturers wheels on EddyBoard skateboards?

Yes, providing you stay within the wheel specs for each model.

Our boards are distributed in three collections: Travelers, Fly Boards, Land Surf skateboards.

We provide 83mm wheels on all Travelers and Land Surf boards in order to give you maximum traction and turning ability.  Any larger wheel could cause wheel bite (wheel rubbing against bottom of skateboard causing a dead stop which can be harmful).

Fly Boards come with 93mm wheels and can accommodate up to 120mm wheel size without causing wheel bite.

How fast can my EddyBoards skateboard go?

There are many variables that dictate how fast a board will go including but not limited to: weight of rider, style of riding, terrain, weather conditions, hills.

Will my skateboard go up hills?

Yes, when riding hills, the rider must be more careful and it can be more dangerous. When riding up a hill, you must come down a hill, so in going up a steep grade it is possible that you could come down a steeper grade which can be extremely dangerous in which you should be experienced in how you control you speed without the use of electric brakes if ever there was a loss of power or situation in which the brakes fail.

How many times can I recharge my battery?

Lithium Ion batteries are typically able to recharge 500 times.

Does EddyBoards LLC offer a warranty?

EddyBoards LLC offers a limited warranty for a period of 12 months from the date of receipt.  For more information please see our information about warranty and limited warranty.

Please start out by always maintaining your skateboard clean and free of debris on all working parts (and in general).  Ensure all bolts and nuts are tightened appropriately.

We recommend that you routinely check that your bolts and nuts are tight, bearings are clean and rolling freely, your belt has proper tension.  You should rotate the wheels regularly so that you ensure proper wear.
